So, it is not 100% confirmed, well, by Nintendo anyways, but Eurogamer is reporting that this Friday, November 4th, will be the last day of production for the Nintendo Wii U. I do not find this surprising at all, I mean, the Switch is just around the corner.

Another Opinion: Greg here. I personally was not the least bit surprised by this news. The Wii U has been stagnant since day 1 for the most part and it didn’t look like it was going to improve anytime soon – if at all. I do find it strange that Nintendo never did anything to spur sales of the system – such as drop the price. I personally feel like a $199 Wii U would have sold well. I guess we’ll never know.
